THE EMERALD GUARD is a volunteer organization and as such we are always looking for new members.
If after visiting our webpage, reenacting sounds like something you might like to experience, all you need to do is email us! Many of our members have extra equipment and are willing to outfit prospective members: We will provide you a uniform, equipment, and a musket to use for the weekend. We will share our food, our powder, and our comraderie with you. We will teach you how to march, how to fire a musket, and all the details as to how to portraying the common soldier of the Confederate Army. All at no expense to you! All you need to bring is your love of history, your enthusiasm and your willingness to participate.

The Emerald Guard also welcomes reenactors who have recently relocated to the Mid-Atlantic region or are just looking to get back into the hobby. Come fall in with us and see if being a member of the Thirty-third Virginia and the Stonewall Brigade is what you are looking for.
